It began with
a way to grow.
GritGreen Farms Ltd began in Kimara Suka, Dar es Salaam. Led by CEO and founder Starmius John, the team built its work around a hydroponic greenhouse, lettuce and culinary herbs.
The greenhouse made an idea tangible. Seedlings moved into channels. The channels became growing rows. The harvest became clearly named products: Veraia, Veraia Mix, Savora, Crisora, Crispa and Romaine, alongside basil, parsley and coriander.
We are still building that connection—from the growing system to the customer who opens a pack, and from a local farm to a business with a wider ambition.
